For Tim Selvey, roofing started right here at home. Born and raised in Stratford, Tim began his roofing career in 2014, and the first roof he ever worked on was anything but ordinary. His introduction to the trade came on the historic Stratford Courthouse, working with its beautiful slate roof and learning a craft that requires patience, precision and an appreciation for doing things properly.

 

That experience stayed with him.

 

In 2017, Tim started Selvey Roofing, building a company of his own in the same community where he grew up.

 

Today, Selvey Roofing has grown into a skilled local team with experience across slate, cedar, asphalt shingles, metal and flat roofing. Tim remains a hands-on owner, working alongside his crew, sharing what he knows and taking pride in every job that carries the Selvey Roofing name.

But for Tim, good roofing has never been just about what happens on the roof. It's about being honest with people, finding the right solution instead of simply the easiest one and standing behind the work after the job is finished.

More than a decade after Tim first stepped onto the slate roof of the Stratford Courthouse, he's still roofing in the community where it all began, building Selvey Roofing the same way he started it: through good work, good people and a reputation earned one roof at a time.
